Ida Regains Tropical Storm Strength

Ida, which roared ashore over east-central Nicaragua Thursday morning as a Category 1 hurricane and diminished to a tropical depression, has reemerged into the northwestern Caribbean Sea and has regained Tropical Storm status. It will continue to slowly re-strengthen this weekend as it heads for Mexico`s Yucatan Peninsula. It currently poses no threat to the U.S. mainland through the weekend.…FULL STORY
