Multiple bands of thunderstorms...some with hail...strong gusty winds and very heavy to intense rain showers are moving towards southwest and west central Minnesota...from South Dakota. The storms with the most intense rain showers should be approaching Canby...Marshall...and Tracy by around 730 AM...then the Minnesota River from Ortonville to Montevideo...Granite Falls...Redwood Falls and New Ulm between 730 AM and 830 AM this morning. The heaviest rain falls of half an inch to and inch an hour can be expected from these new storms. Otherwise...moderate to heavy rain is ending over southeast Minnesota and widely scattered areas of rain showers are falling across most of Minnesota...and western Wisconsin this morning. Most of these showers are evaporating before reaching the ground. Estimated rain fall rates are light...from a trace to a few hundredths of an inch.
