Los Angeles weather is some of the nicest and most stable in the world. High temperatures average between 65 and 85 all year round with lows rarely dipping below 40. Despite its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, rain is often hard to come by, with only the winter months averaging greater than an inch of precipitation.
Related to Los Angeles’ weather and location is the thick smog which often looms overhead, especially on hot summer days. The Los Angeles Basin provides the perfect setup for strong atmospheric inversions to occur which trap the pollution from the surface within several thousand feet of the ground. Despite the persistent smog, sunny skies generally dominate the weather for the City of Angels.
